Christian is now building Faes & Co, a firm that actively builds and invests in businesses that are ‘powering the next generation of finance’.

Christian co-founded LendInvest in 2008, and built it into a leading fintech company that is now one of the largest non-bank mortgage lenders in the United Kingdom. LendInvest successfully listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2021 and has over £3.7 billion in funds under management.

Christian has been actively involved in setting up and building companies such as Onate which is a bridging finance lender active in Ireland and Spain; and has been an early stage investor in a range of other financial services and technology companies.

Christian founded the UK’s Fintech Founders group, and has been an advisor to the UK government on fintech.

Originally from Australia, Christian was previously a Magic Circle lawyer and in-house legal counsel at a global investment bank in London. He has been profiled and covered in publications such as the Financial Times, Financial News, the Sunday Times, City AM, the Australian Financial Review and Bloomberg.
